The R80 Novelty Gum League of Nations set is a 50 card set picturing a native with the country's flag in the background and a small vignette in the background of something for which the country is known. The cards were issued in packs and also had a small cardboard box that looked like a book that would hold all 50 cards. The box was available from a redemption offer and is very difficult to obtain. There is a box and wrapper in another lot in this auction.
This lot is for a single copy of R80 Novelty Gum League of Nations #16 Costa Rica graded by PSA as NMMT-8. The card is the highest copy graded with none graded higher.
