W.D. & H.O. Wills issued a number of card sets in the 1920's-1940's in the United Kingdom. Sets have subject matters from military to fish and many, many more but movie stars will always be the mainstay of the 1930's sets. People were fascinated with movies and enjoyed collectibles of their favorite movie stars. The 1931 Cinema Stars set offered one of the earliest opportunities to get a card of Walt Disney & Mickey Mouse. This card from Series 3 is one of the most popular cards and pictures Walt Disney sitting on a stool with the cartoon Mickey Mouse around his knee. The card is a sepia type toned card with a small narrative on the back and the card number.
This lot is for the Walt Disney / Mickey Mouse Cinema Stars from Series #3 card #24 graded by PSA as EX5. Beautiful card in mid range condition.
