Fantastic chewing gum box for Chew-Choo Bubblekiss Chewing Gum. The box is dated 1935 on the side. The box notes the capacity is 150 pieces and 300 cubic inches. The yellow and red printing is made to look like a train car with wooden sides. There is no top on it and There is one broken end but overall it displays incredibly. The box measure 5" x 5" x 12". On the bottom of the box are two sets of wooden wheels that have been attached and serve as the train wheels. Each block of wood has two metal threads through it with a wheel on each end for (4) wheels per wheel set. The one wheel set is missing one of the threads and sets of wheels but the entire box will still roll. Just a phenomenal piece from the Goudey company of Boston, Massachusetts.
Condition is overall Good to Very Good with some issues but phenomenal displayability. This is a second one of these we've had in two successive auctions. The corners of this piece have been repaired with tape at some long ago point and the lid on this piece is present and in decent shape. Just a beautiful piece from the heyday of candy and gum.
