The N559 Lake Erie Tobacco State Governors set is a (48) card set picturing governors of the day in the late 1880's. The cards are larger format akin to a trade card, measuring 2-5/8" Wide by 4-3/8" High. The fronts of the cards are sepia with white borders and the backs of the cards are ornately printed in blue ink and advertise for Ivory Long Cut chewing tobacco. Grover Cleveland is included in the set. The cards are relatively scarce and highly sought out by advanced collectors of 19th century tobacco cards.
The N559 Lake Erie Tobacco Ivory Long Cut Governors set is of the subject Benjamin Biggs of Delaware that is in apparent VGEX to EX condition. The back of the card does have a dot of clear glue in the center of the back that is the size of a dime.
