The N118 Duke Jokes large format set of 25 cards pictures two images from the N81 Dukes Jokes smaller format series of 50 cards. This series is believed to have been issued in the period of the early 1890's. The cards picture jokes that have, in most cases, lost their impact when viewed by the 21st Century collector. The card backs list the checklists of all the individual titles and sport an advertisement for Duke's Honest Long Cut brand.
Condition breakdown on this lot of (11) cards shows (9) cards in an even VGEX condtion and (2) cards in GVG condition with some back issues. This lot represents 44% of the set and promises to get the winner on the way to a complete set.
