The N34 Allen & Ginter World's Sovereigns set is a (50) card set picturing the world leaders from a number of different countries at the time of printing which is generally believed to have been around 1889-1891. Some countries are represented by a pair of subjects--for instance Kings and Queens--and other countries are represented by a single subject--such as countries that have a president or other type of leader. The cards have beautifully painted fronts picturing the World Sovereign in colorful garb as well as a patterened background and some level of embellishment on the cards along with the countries crest or other recognizable symbol.
This near set of (49/50) cards from the N34 Allen & Ginter World's Sovereigns set are generally in VG to EX condition, averaging around VGEX with some lesser and some better. This is the largest group of these we have offered and a set that is rarely seen complete.
