The R830-1 Aviation set is a (40) card set likely issued in the 1930's/1940's by an unknown issuer. It is entirely possible that it was Novel Candy or another similar manufacturer of boxed candy cards. The cards picture famous aviators and famous aircraft in a very popular subject of the time period. Subjects include the Wright brothers, Eddie Rickenbacker, Jimmy Doolittle and Howard Hughes.
This lot is for a pair of R830-1 Airplane series cards, both of which have been graded by PSA as PSA1 or Poor and include #27 Howard Huges and #39 Charles Lindbergh. Great pair of these iconic flyboys.
