The N500 set is a stock set of (36) flag trading cards that were used by dozens of different tobacco companies for advertisement as well as other manufacturers of other products that fall into the H category. Non-sport.com catalogs a couple dozen different series of N500 cards. The advertising for various tobacco companies can be found either in the blank space at the bottom of the front of the card or on the back or some combination of the two. The most commonly found N500's are either completely blank or with American Eagle advertising.
This lot of (8) N500 cards have been cataloged by non-sport.com as N500P and are from the H. Schwabacher tobacco company of Louisville Kentucky. Likely issued sometime in the late 19th or very early 20th century, these cards are in poor to fair condition with light to medium back damage. The card fronts, however, display as very clean VGEX to EX condition and retain their strong, bold colors. These cards are rarely seen as a type much less as a group this large.
