The V254 Papoose Gum is one of the many sets that use the Allen & Ginter artwork from the 1880's. The artwork, as it has in other later series, has reversed images and embellished artwork--feathers added and brighter colors. The set contains the same (50) subjects as do the other variations of the artwork. The cards can be found with no advertising on the back or with advertising for both Papoose Gum or Tee Pee Gum.
This lot is for a single high grade card from the V254 Papoose of card #42 Big Razor in PSA6 or EX-MT condition. There is one in this grade with two graded higher.
