R197 Blatz Gum Company, Screen Stars, complete set of 20 different cards

The R197 Blatz Gum Screen Stars set was issued in 1920 and could technically be part of the "E" classification. The "R" classification typically begins around 1930 or so. The set are slightly oversized at 3-1/2" by 5-1/2" and sized about the size of an exhibit card. There are (20) cards in the set and a companion string-bound album was issued to house the cards. The most famous subject in the book is the card that pictures the cast from "Our Gang". The cards are black and white, printed on very thin paper, and have advertising and a checklist on the back of the card.

This complete set of the R197 Blatz Gum Screen Stars is in VGEX to EX condition and very clean.
