The V49 Lowney's Chocolate Just Kids set is a 24 card set that measures 3-7/8" wide by 1-1/2" high and pictures the comics Just Kids in a small scene with a coupon on the front of the card. The back of the card has an advertisement for a coupon redemption. Send all coupons in 1-24 and the customer could get a combination pen and pencil. The Walter M. Lowney Company of Montreal created a number of Canadian "V" chocolate sets during the 1920's and 1930's.
This lot of (2) cards from the V49 Lowney's Chocolates Just Kids set includes two different variations of card #12. The only difference on the cards is on the back of the card where one example (the top example in the photos) contains the tagline "Walter M. Lowney Company Limited" while the card on the bottom omits the "Limited". Great pair of cards from this popular set that would be perfect for the typecard collector.
