The V254 Pappoose Gum is one of the many sets that use the Allen & Ginter artwork from the 1880's. The artwork, as it has in other later series, has reversed images and embellished artwork--feathers added and brighter colors. The set contains the same (50) subjects as do the other variations of the artwork. The cards can be found with no advertising on the back or with advertising for both Papoose Gum or Tee Pee Gum.
This lot of (4) cards have all been graded by PSA and include the following subjects: #8 Keokuk (PSA4.5 VG-EX+), #11 Crows Breast (PSA4.5 VG-EX+), #37 Keokuk's Son (PSA4 VG-EX) and #40 Arkikita (PSA4 VG-EX). Great lot of mid grade cards from this very popular set that is ideal for the set builder or type card collector.
