The N171 Goodwin Old Judges Celebrities & Miscellaneous lot includes a number of actress cards as well as cards for other celebrities. The cards are albumen photo cards adhered to heavy cardboard--similar to the N172 Old Judge baseball series that is immensely popular. The cards can be found with varying degrees of photo clarity and in varying conditions. The backs are blank and the fronts contain varying types of advertising for Old Judge--mostly at the bottom of the card.
This lot is for a single N171 Old Judge Actresses and Celebrities type card of the subject Belle Leslie in VGEX to near EX condition. The interesting thing about this card is the advertising panel at the bottom which advertises for Old Judge and Goodwin & Co but also has the tagline "The American Tobacco Co. Successor". This advertising panel is quite rare within the N171 set and a great type card for the ambitious type card collector.
