The D94-5 Tip Top Bread Sports Cars set is a (28) card set from Tip Top Bread picturing sports cars of the day. The cards have a background featuring a deep single color and are great art-deco type cards. The backs of the cards advertise for Tip Top Bread in red, white and blue colors.
This near set of (24/28) cards is missing only the following cards to be complete: Ford Thunderbird, Pegaso Z-102, Siata and Talbot Lago Grand Sports. Within many of the Tip Top nonsports sets, there seems to be cards that are rarely seen and seem to command premiums. Experienced collectors typically know these cards and some of the missing cards in this near set are some of those cards. The cards in this near set run the gamut from Poor condition to EXMT with most being around VG to VGEX. The cards are often found with discoloration which may be a result of being in with loaves of bread during their distribution and how long they were in the bread. The set is popular with collectors and rarely seen as a complete or even near complete set.
