Gum Inc issued the Home Defense set in 1941 in the United States and its Canadian counterpart (Defence with a "C") was issued in the same year. Both sets total 48 cards with the U.S. set numbering 97-144 while the Canadian set are numbered 1-48. The cards picture the war effort at home and ensuring the homeland is ready.
This lot is for a pair of V277 O-Pee-Chee Home Defence cards, both of which have been graded by PSA and include the following subjects: #38 Rescue Trucks (PSA5 EX) and #40 Use of Portable Fire Pumps (PSA5.5 EX+). Great lot.
