These metal plates were inserted into the Wheaties boxes in 1953 and 1954. The plates were popular collectibles in the early to mid 1950's as witnessed by all the different Topps and Goudey License Plate issues as well as other manufacturers. At the same time the Disabled American Veterans sold small license plate keychains as well.

This set of (49) plates include all U.S. States except for Hawaii. The plates are in VGEX to EX condition with just normal wear. Great set of plates.
