The R97-2 General Gum set of Movie Stars is a (24) cards that can be found with large borders at the top and bottom or cut closer at the top and bottom. The method of distribution of the two types of cards is generally unknown. The cards picture the stars of the day including some very popular stars like Joan Crawford, Marlene Dietrich, Clark Gable, Greta Garbo, Helen Hayes, Buster Keaton and Will Rogers.
This lot includes a group of (9) R97-2 General Gum Movie Stars cards including the following subjects: Claudette Colbert, Frederich March, Constance Bennett, Joan Crawford, Joan Bennett, Warner Baxter, Richard Arlen, Walter Huston and Conrad Nagel. (5) of the cards are in EX to EXMT condition with the remaining (4) being in lower grade. Great lot that represents over 1/3 of the complete set.
