The Kinney Leaders set of (25) cards, classified as N222 in the ACC, is one of the most popular Kinney sets made. As it's a 25 card set, it is easy to collect and complete. The set pictures attractive graphics of a bust of the leader with a vignette below of an action scene that they would be known for. The backs have a checklist and notes the set name and advertisement for Kinney Brothers High Class Cigarettes. The cards can be found in both a wide and narrow version, the difference being only about 1/8" to 3/16". It is unknown why the two versions exist but could possibly be explained by different package sizing for the distribution of the cigarettes.
This lot is for a pair of N222 Kinney Cigarettes Leaders in the large format of the subjects Marie Antoinette and Mme. Recaimer. Both cards have been graded PSA5 or EX.
