The N146 Set from Duke's Tobacco are slightly larger than the N145 series but smaller than the larger, oversized Duke cards of the same timeframe. The series can be found with Duke's Mixture on the front at the bottom or with Duke of Durham. The series contains a number of politicians, actors and actresses and other celebrities of the day.
This lot is for a single copy of the Samuel J Tilden subject from the N146 Duke Cigarettes Actors and Actresses that has been graded by PSA as EX-MT or PSA6. Samuel J Tilden was a democratic politician with a long career in various offices from the 1840's through the late 1870's including the 25th Governor of New York from 1/1/1875 until 12/31/1876.
