Cabinet photos were used for tobacco advertising from the mid-1880's through the turn of the century and the end of what we know as the cabinet card era. This cabinet card is from Old Chief Cheroots and advertises 5 cheroots for 5 cents. This photo was likely a premium for the return of (20) wrappers as noted on the paper label tipped onto the back of the cabinet.
This cabinet measures about 7" x11" and is in EX condition and very clean. There is some very light foxing on the bottom right side.
