The Strato Bubble Gum Company of the UK issued a small spotter planes set of (50) cards picturing planes from multiple companies. The cards are monotone coloration either crimson or blue. The backs have a small narrative about the plane on the front. "Spotter" plane card sets were very common in the WWII timeframe for people to help learn about the planes that could be seen flying around and to help identify planes of the enemy. Images for the Strato set are 'borrowed' from the 1952 Topps Wings series so that dates this set to post-1952 likely.
This lot of (38) cards form the Strato Bubble Gum Spotter Plan includes the following numbers in crimson: 1, 5, 7, 8, 9, 12, 14(2), 16, 18, 23(2), 24, 26, 28(2), 29, 32, 33(2), 34(2), 35, 36, 37(3), 39, 46(2), 47(2) and 48(3). The cards printed in blue include: 2, 20 and 41. Great lot that represents a good start to this set of (50) cards.
