The V339-17 Parkhurst Texas John Slaughter set is a 50 card set from Parkhurst that was issued in the early to mid 1950's. The card pictures scenes from the television show of the same name from the wonderful world of Disney that aired (17) different episodes from 1958 to 1961. The Western television series was based upon an actual Texas Ranger, John Horton Slaughter. Tom Tyron starred as the white hat cowboy. The fronts are colorful with narratives both in English and French on the back.
This near set of (30/50) cards from the V339-17 Parkhurst Texas John Slaughter series are largely in VGEX to EXMT condition with most around EX. The backs are slightly toned which is not uncommon for the series. The numbers included in this lot are: 1, 2, 6, 9, 10, 11, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 22, 23, 24, 27, 29, 30, 33, 37, 38, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 48, 49 and 50.
