Not a great deal is known about the American Chicle Kis-Me Gum Confederate Portraits set. The set includes (140) members of the Confederate army hierarchy. The individual cards are actually printed on very thin paper with a printed back and size about 1.0 by 1.25 inches. In addition to the individual members photos/cards, there is a larger book plate sized picture that measures about 4.0 x 5.0 inches and it is usually found in the front of the album that the cards are almost always found in. The album is titled "Confederate Portrait Album". We believe that the cards came as a set and were assembled by the recipient, putting each picture in it's assigned spot within the album.
This lot of (5) cards from the E-UNC American Chicle Kis-Me Gum Confederate Portraits set have all been graded by PSA as EX-5 and include the following subjects: #4 R. M. T. Hunter, #33 Stephen D Lee, #44 John S. Bowen, #61 Robert F Hoke and #86 Thomas L Rosser. The cards are clean copies of the subjects pictured and would be a good addition to a PSA graded set.
