The E231 Adams Gum Yellow Kid set is a (25) card set of cards picturing one of the earliest cartoon characters--the Yellow Kid. The Yellow Kid was a cartoon character from the mind of Richard F. Outcault whose first appearance was on the 17th of February of 1895. The cards are colorful representations of the antics of the Yellow Kid. The cards can be found in two different formats. The small number cards are blank backed and the large number cards have instructions for the Yellow Kid game. The method of distribution of each of the sets of cards is unknown.
This lot is for a single type card from the E231 Adams Gum Yellow Kid and pictures the Yellow Kid playing cards with the phrase "I Got de Prince Dis Time Sure". The card is #14 from the series and is clean front and back with a light crease in the upper left corner.
