Like many of the larger albumen photo card sets of the late 19th century, the N145 set from Duke can be found with many different combinations of advertising on the front of the card at the bottom. The cards can be found advertising Duke Cigarettes, Duke's Cameo cigarettes, Cross Cut cigarettes and others. There are different formats of cards within the classification and the number of cards in the classification numbers into the thousands. Also, as with other similar series of the day, photo quality can make or break an individual card.
This card is a single N145-2 Duke Tobacco card of the subject Fay Templeton. The card advertises the Duke product Cross Cut cigarettes and is numbered 197 in the series. The photo clarity is well above normal and the card has been graded PSA8 NMMT.
