The F6-1 Dixie Lids Defend America series was a series of (24) round lids affixed into Dixie cups of ice cream in the 1940's. The F6-1 Defend America series appears to have been inserted in 1941. Most Dixie Lids sets also had companion redemption premium pages that had pre-punched holes on the left hand side. The individual sets are highly collectible and are generally of high quality and beautiful collectibles in their own right.
This near set (21/26) of the F6-1 Dixie Lids Defend America Premiums is missing only the following titles to be complete: Insignia of the Army Divisions, Armed Force Motorcycle Troops, Artillery 155mm Guns, U.S. Army Air Corps Bombardment Planes and U.S. Army Pursuit Planes. The premiums are in VG to VGEX and a representative sample have been scanned both front and back.
