The N493 Goodwin Old Judge set was issued by a number of different companies including Spanish Puffs, Key West Rosas, Sub Rosa and Goodwin. The cards picture actresses of the day in a sepia toned format with no frame lines. The tobacco advertising is typically found on the back of the card, but, in some cases, can also be found on the front. All the Goodwin subjects have been seen with advertising only on the back.
This lot is for a single card from the N493 Actress series of the subject "Topsy". Topsy is a character in Harriet Beecher Stowe's novel "Uncle Tom's Cabin". This card is in about VG condition with honest corner wear. The card has a dot in the lower border on the front of the card that could be a fountain pen dot. The back is clean with clean Old Judge advertising.
