The A23 Allen & Ginter Paris Exposition 1889 Album is one of the very few albums that don't correspond to any of the cards issued by Allen & Ginter. The album pictures scenes from the wildly popular Paris Exposition of 1889. The Paris Exposition was held on the 100th anniversary of the storming of the Bastille and was active from May 6, 1889 – Oct 31, 1889. The exposition was the unveiling of new technology and thought and there were attractions like the unveiling of the Eiffel Tower, Buffalo Bill and Annie Oakley in a Wild West Show and many other popular attractions.
This copy of the A23 album is in VGEX TO EX condition and only has some surface wear to the covers. The back cover in the upper right has "M879 75.00" writte in pencil in the upper right corner.
