The A18 Allen & Ginter World's Racers album pictures championship horses of the late 1870's to 1880's. The album was the redemption companion to the A32 Allen & Ginter World's Racers small card set. It pictures 50 different horses including the Kentucky Derby winners from 1886 (Ben Ali) and 1887 (Montrose). The horses are pictured with their jockey in the jockey's colors with pastoral scenes in the background. Some of the horses are in a race pose and others are just shown walking. Most of the albums in the Allen & Ginter section were redeemable for 50-100 coupons.
This album is in VG to VGEX condition. There's just the slightest amount of darkening to the top and bottom and left side of the front cover but it is complete with the original binding string. The back cover is also complete and clean. It is pretty rare to find complete albums with no chipping to the corners and good clean binding strings. The interior pages are clean and bright with vibrant coloring.
