The N460 Moore & Calvi, Hard-A-Port card set is a scarce set of metamorphic cards. The cards have flaps at the top and bottom and when the flaps are moved back and forth, multiple pictures can be made of the subject pictured on the front of the card. When all the flaps are folded down, the cards are sized similar to the majority of tobacco cards of the day approximately 1-1/2" by 2-3/4" in size. When the flaps are completely open, the length of the card is about 5-1/2". There is advertising at the bottom of the card for Hard-A-Port Cut Plug tobacco with the tagline "Is the Best".
This card pictures a stereotyped, late 19th century picture of an African American man and combines his image with that of a donkey where the two can be morphed into each other with the change of the flaps. The back of the card has some light pencil writing on it but overall, the card is in about VG condition. This offers the collector the opportunity to add to a great type card collection or move closer to a complete set of N460 Hard-A-Port Metamorphic card.
