The N155 Duke Honest Long Cut set primarily pictures scenes from the New York and other Northeast locations. In addition to the scenes, four Native American chiefs were included in the series--Chiefs Carlos, Joseph, White Bull and Yellow Dog. The Native American chiefs are seen somewhat less regularly and are often mistaken for the N691 American Indian chiefs. The cards are condition sensitive with dark sepia-type borders on the front and black backgrounds. They're often found with paper loss.
This lot is for a single tough N155 Duke Honest Long Cut type card of Chief Carlos. The card appears to be in about EX condition but does have some back surface issues which appear to mostly be some type of dirt or wear. It doesn't appear to have been glued into anything. The photo clarity on the front of the card is very nice for the issue and there is little wear to the corners and borders. Great addition to a high level type collection or for the collector working on the N155 set.
