Buchner tobacco issued a number of sets, many of which are difficult to collect due to scarcity. The N290 Morning Glory Maidens was from Victory Tobacco by Buchner is one of those difficult sets. With a total of 30 subjects, the cards picture 15 different maidens and 15 different flowers. The card fronts are sepia-toned with black line drawings and the back checklists all (30) cards and advertises for Buchner's Victory tobacco.
This lot is for a single N290 Buchner Morning Glory Maiden cards of the subject Lily of the Valley. The card appears to be in VGEX to EX condition but does have some paper pulls on the back of the card downgrading the condition to fair. Still an extremely difficult card from one of the tougher Buchner sets of the 1880's to 1890's. Great for a type card collection or Buchner tobacco collector.
