N457-2 Trumps Long Cut Brown-Backed Complete Set of (52) Cards with TOUGH Joker (53 Total)

The N457-2 Trumps Long Cut Playing cards are one of a number playing card sets issued by tobacco companies. Some, like the N84 Dukes and the N219/N220 Kinney cards are normal sized tobacco cards--similar to the many other sets issued by those companies. The Trumps sets though are larger cards, similar in size to a more normal playing card sized card. The sets within the N457 classification can be generally identified by the markings on the back of the cards and the color of the graphics on the back of the cards. The fronts of the cards are beautiful paintings of women of the day in different poses--some of which are wearing what might be considered burlesque-type clothing. The cards are pretty plentiful and easy to find singles here and there but less commonly found as a complete deck.

This deck of cards is in a very pleasing VGEX condition with some better and some worse. They have not had heavy play like many of these cards are found with. The tough Joker card is also included. This lot offers a great opportunity to write off a complete set in the quest for a 19th century collector.
