The N286 Buchner Tobacco Musical Instruments set is a (23) card series picturing burlesque-type women with musical instruments on the front of the card in colorful garb with backs that advertise Buchner's products and note a redemption program cards taken from any of the Buchner products that can land the bearer one of a number of different premiums from a Pocket-book or Knife for 100 cards up to an elegant gilt framed picture "The Landing of Columbus" for 1000 cards redeemed. The redemptions laid out on the cards from this set and others by Buchner may be the reason that Buchner cards are, in total, more difficult to find than many of the other mainstream tobacco company's cards.
This lot is for a single card from the N286 Buchner Tobacco Musical Instruments set picturing the subject "Hungarian Violinist". The card appears to be in VGEX or so condition but does have some very light paper pulls on the back most noticeably in the "Silk Umbrella" area around the 400 card redemption line. Great, very tough card perfect for the type card collector or the Buchner tobacco card collector.
