The R23 Slesinger Big Little Book series is a (224) card set which is really broken down into (7) individual series of cards of the following subjects: Flash Gordon (1-32), Dick Tracy (33-64), Popeye (65-96), Tom Mix (97-128), G-Man (129-161), Buck Jones (162-193) and Dan Dunn (194-224). This is one of if not the largest strip card sets of the 1930's. These cards are also very difficult to find, so completing an individual series is a challenge and completing the full set of (224) is near impossible. The Big Little books of the 1930's were popular format books with popular subjects, so the cards were obviously capitalizing on that trend.
This lot of (3) Cards from the R23 Slesinger Big Little Book set is from the G-Man series and includes cards 140, 143 and 144. The cards grade Poor to VG but have a mostly clean clean appearance--both front and back. Corners are nice and square. Card #143 does have a small hole punch on the right side about 1/3 down from the top border.
