The N259 Lorillard "Types of the Stage" set is one of a number of Lorillard Tobacco sets from the late 1880's to early 1890's. The Types of the Stage set is a (25) card set with roles that would have been played in a stage play like "Ladies Maid" or "Spanish Student" or roles that are more specific like "Ophelia" for instance. The fronts are colorful and the backs are black print advertisements for a Lorillard product.
This lot is for a group of (4) N259 Lorillard "Types of the Stage" cards that are in about VG condition and mostly clean but with a crease or two. The subjects include: Ballet (Military)Burlesque, Female Juggler and Page (Female)
