The R19-3 Goudey series of license plates for 1938 was the third installment in the four year run for Goudey. The 1938 set is the second largest set at 66 subjects. The license plates are colorful representations of the real license plates and a popular subject as witnessed by the number of different sets that Goudey and other manufacturers like Topps and Wheaties Cereal produced over the years. This near set (63/66) is missing only the cards for British Guiana, England and North Carolina to be complete.

Condition breakdown on the set is as follows: EX or better (41 cards), VG to VGEX (15 cards) and P to GVG (7 cards). Overall, a very clean near set in above average condition for the issue.
