The N96 Duke's Honest Long Cut Tobacco Actress Folder cards are larger cards issued in larger packs of Duke Cigarettes in the late 1880's to early 1890's. They picture unnamed actresses in a center panel with two side panels and once folded cover the actresses picture. The backs of the cards have an advertisement for Duke's Honest Long Cut Tobacco in the center panel with graphics on the two side panels. The set is a (25) card set and is one of the more interesting larger format cards that Duke created during the tobacco card heyday. Like all cards that were folded for insertion into packs, the cards are condition sensitive.
This lot is for a pair of N96 Duke Actresses cards. The condition of the unnamed pair of cards is one card in about VGEX to EX and one card in Fair to Good with heavy creasing. Both cards are, however, vibrant and bright on both the front and the back.
