Auction #4 - January 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 1/26/2020
The N3 Allen & Ginter set is 50 cards picturing weapons that date back from the beginning of time until the 1880's. It is an interesting subject matter being used to sell cigarettes in the 1880's. The lithography and artwork is top notch as it is on all the Allen & Ginter sets. The backs of the cards are printed in a red color, possibly intended to represent blood. It is the only Allen & Ginter set of the mainstream 44 chromolithographed sets that they issued that uses red ink for the back printing.
This lot contains a single copy of the N3 Allen & Ginter Arms of All Nations set of the subject Cannon, graded as PSA8 NMMT. The PSA8 is the highest grade for this subject with only two PSA8's noted for the entire census of 783 cards graded for the N3 set.
