The N158 Duke Honest Long Cut War Photographs set is an albumen real photo card set similar to many of the card sets of the day. The subject matter is the 1898 Spanish-American War ships and officers. The Spanish-American war began when the U.S.S. Maine sank in Havana, Cuba harbor in February of 1898. The set includes what appears to be a total of (28) cards with (13) Officers and (15) ship cards. The cards of the officers are formatted in a vertical orientation and the ships are mostly in horizontal orientation with a couple vertical. The cards are full bleed photos not having borders like most of the 19th century albumen cards.

This lot is for a single N158 Duke Tobacco Honest Long Cut War Photograph of the subject Atlanta U.S.N. that has been graded as PSA7 NM. This is the highest graded Atlanta example and one of only (5) cards that have achieved the PSA7 level.
