The N51 Allen & Ginter Presidents set is one of the tougher real albumen photo sets from Allen & Ginter. The set includes the first 22 presidents of the United States through Grover Cleveland and was likely issued sometime in the 1885 through 1889 time frame. The cards are relatively rare. The backs of the cards contain a checklist of the cards in the set.
This lot includes the Andrew Jackson card in Poor condition with a complete tear across the center of the card. Scotch tape has been added to the otherwise clean back to hold the card together. As a significantly difficult typecard to find, this would still fill a hole in a typecard collection or collection of N51 cards.
