The N46 Allen & Ginter Cigarette Girls set pictures women making or rolling cigarettes--generally at a table. The cards are albumen photo cards on cardboard stock--similar to many of the late 19th century cards of actresses and other subjects. They are primarily found with the Virginia Brights Cigarettes masthead at the bottom of the front but can also be found in a much scarcer version with Dixie Cigarettes at the bottom. The cards are typically numbered somewhere on the front in the field of the photo and numbers as high as 49 have been seen with some numbers in that range not having been seen. Nonsport.com pictures around 17 with the gallery at vintagenonsports.com message board picturing 19 cards. It is not known if all cards come with both Virginia Brights and Dixie brands but Nonsport.com does picture card number 48 in both formats, so it is likely that they do.
The single example from the N46 Allen & Ginter Cigarette Making Girls set is card #1 and pictures a single female sitting at a table to make cigarettes. The card is in about VGEX to EX condition and is very clean. Great card from this interesting set.
