The Kinney Leaders set of (25) cards, classified as N222 in the ACC, is one of the most popular Kinney sets made. As it's a 25 card set, it is easy to collect and complete. The set pictures attractive graphics of a bust of the leader with a vignette below of an action scene that they would be known for. The backs have a checklist and notes the set name and advertisement for Kinney Brothers High Class Cigarettes. The cards can be found in both a wide and narrow version, the difference being only about 1/8" to 3/16" in width. It is unknown why the two versions exist but could possibly be explained by different package sizing for the distribution of the cigarettes.
This single N222 Kinney Brothers Leaders card is of the subject General R.E. Lee that has been graded SGC1 or Poor. This is the narrow version of the card. The card has some paper adhered to the back but a mostly clean front and back otherwise.
