Felix Potin of France issued at least three different (500) card set picturing writers, musicians, artists, statesmen, soldiers and other famous historical figures from all across the world with an emphasis on Frenchmen within those categories. The cards were blank backed and had 'Collection Felix Potin' at the top with the subject's name at the bottom. Subjects like Jules Verne, Alexandre Dumas, Victor Hugo, Emile Zola, Stanley and Livingstone, Pope Leon XIII, Thomas Edison and many more were in the series.

This single 1900 Felix Potin card is for the subject Thomas Edison that has been graded SGC2.5 or Good+. Edison is one of the keys from the first Potin collection of 500 cards. This card is very clean for the grade and pictures one of the seminal inventors of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
