The 1958 Topps "TV Westerns" set of 71 cards was one of a number of sets Topps issued during 1957. The (71) card set of "TV Westerns" pictures scenes from a number of TV Western shows that were extremely popular during the 1950's such as Gunsmoke, Trackdown, Have Gun Will Travel, Yancy Derringer, Union Pacific, The Restless Gun, Tales of Wells Fargo and The Californians.
This series features color photos from
the some of the most popular TV western series of thew 1950, including “Gunsmoke” starring
James Arness and ”Have Gun Will Travel”, starring Richard Boone. Each card from this 71-card
Topps classic contains color scenes from the TV series, with narrative on the back. This superb
set features sharp corners and edges throughout. It does contain a number of off-centered cards,
which is endemic to this series, but this set is above average in that regard, with quite a few well-
centered cards. The tough #1 card has been graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. You will likely not see a
set of comparable quality come on the market for a long time! All cards stored in Cardsaver 1
holders and mounted in plastic pages in a looseleaf binder, for convenient viewing. Stunning!
