The N167 Goodwin Tobacco set is one of the very earliest Goodwin Tobacco card sets and from the earlier part of the 1880's if not earlier. The cards picture actresses and other celebrities as well as baseball cards. The later are typically very difficult and worth many thousands of dollars. That you could pull a card from a tobacco card pack in the early 1880's that might be an actress or baseball player is interesting in itself but the disparity in value between the two cards just shows how supply and demand works. The actress portion of the set is of an undetermined size. The cards are sepia in tone and have blue printed backs on them.
This single N167 Old Judge (Type 2) Card features the subject "Parnell" and has been graded PSA2 or Good. The card has a PSA4 or 5 look to it and displays very nicely.
