One of Topp's early offerings and one of their larger early sets, the 1950 Freedom's War set was (203) cards picturing scenes of the Korean War. The set was apparently issued over a two year period in different series with cards found in either two card panels or single cards in packs. The two card panels were issued in cello and boxed packs and the single cards in one and five cent packages. The first group of cards through card #72 were created using artwork with cards #73-#96 feature Army Photos. Cards #97-#103 were the tank cards--found either die cut or uncut. Cards #104-#127 feature photographs, Cards #128-#177 feature artwork with the rest featuring Army Photos.

This very tough 1950 Topps Freedom's War Unopened Panel Package is in VGEX condition and clean.

***Update: Many questions about this pack.  The pack is sealed in a vinyl packet that looks like GAI package sealing but it is not in a GAI enclosure.  After contacting the consignor, the response was:

"Tom, it was graded. Maybe GAI, but I took the pack out of the hard lucite holder, because at the time it did not fit into my card album page. Other than that the pack has not been touched. If it doesn't sell you're welcome to send it to PSA. I'd gladly pay for it."

***Further Update: Lot 1344 is a Freedom War Canadian wax pack with a total of 3 panels totaling 6 cards. There also was a similar looking Freedom War 5-cent wax pack made in US that shows the price of 5-cents on the pack. The Canadian pack left off the price.
