Animals are one of the more popular trade card subjects of the late 1800's. This lot of (5) trade cards picture famous horses and advertise for Gombault's Caustic Balm which notes it is "The Greatest Blister and Counter Irritant. Absolutely Safe and Reliable for Any One to Use".

This lot of (5) cards are generally in VGEX condition with the exception of John M which shows damage to the right side of the card. All are trotting champions. The subjects include: JOhn M, Prince Alert, Morning Star, Major Delmar and the famous Dan Patch--noted as Champion of Champions.
