In 1969, Topps issued a 55-card set to commemorate the first manned landing on the moon. The fronts feature glorious color photos of the US space program, with the backs serving as pieces to several puzzles. Mysteriously, they segmented the series into two sub-series, numbered 1A through 35A and 36B through 55B. This complete set also contains three printing errors, on cards #36B, 44B and 45B, each of which have incorrect backs. This yields a total of 58 cards.
This lot of over 200 cards from the 1969 Topps Man on the Moon set include many combinations and permutations of front and back with some moderate to heavy duplication. In addition are a couple cards with incorrect backs as pictured. Great lot for the set completionist of this very tough set.
