The R28 Cartoon Series is a (48) card set with (4) different subjects--Tailspin Tommy (#401-408), Tarzan of the Apes (#409-416), Broncho Bill (#417-424) and Buck Rogers (#425-448). All (4) were popular comics of the 1930's but the fascination with Buck Rogers and his adventures garnered 1/2 of the set and mirrored the fascination of the children of the day with Buck Rogers' exploits.
This lot of (9) R28 Schlesinger Cartoon Adventures cards have been graded by PSA with grades between 2 and 5.5. There are (2) Tarzan and (1) Buck Rogers cards in the lot which are more popular than are the Tailspin Tommy and Broncho Bill cards. Great lot for the set builder.
